Automating the Robotic Arm Using Raspberry Pi

This is another one of my several experiments. The Robotic Arm I used here is just a toy model available in some toy shops. Mechanically speaking, it is basic but the principles involved is similar to industrial type or the bigger one. Originally it is controlled through function switch box with the help of human intervention. In this experiment the Raspberry Pi took over with the help of Relay Board to control the movents of the Robotic Arm automatically. Each function is programmed in RPI using BBC BASIC Language. Since RPI cannot process program in real-time (I think) and so the programming language I used here, there will be some timing errors which become very evident after few repeatition of the commands. However, there is a simple way to correct  such errors by utilyzing sensors and modifying the program to detect the end of each movement. Enabling the RPI to determine when to cut-off the electricity applied to the motors.
